Singing in Institute choir

For those who aren't aware, I spend my free time in the afternoons attending Institute. Monday is FHE, Tuesday is New Testament, and Thursday is Choir.
One of the songs we are singing in choir is "Season's of Love." This song moves fairly quickly, and the tenor part does a lot of jumping around and going to the top of every tenor's range (it goes up to an F, which isn't terribly high, but close to the top of my range, and the rhythm makes you hit it fast and come off again.) It goes a little bit too fast, sometimes, to successfully transition from the bottom of one page to the top of the other if you're not ready for it. Case in point... The first time running through the song we come to this long, fast phrase that goes like this,
"In Truths That She Learned
Or In Times That He Cried
In Bridges He Burned
Or The Way That She Died"

As I was singing that phrase this is what came out, (Note the critical difference in the third line)
"In Truths That She Learned
Or In Times That He Cried
In Birds That He Burned
Or The Way That She Died"

Now in terms of phonetics, it's not that far off. But I and the tenor next to me broke down laughing. Now the tenors (both of us) and the bass next to us can't get through the phrase without chuckling.
